Pisa 2018 pre-registration reaches record numbers
At 960+ people, pre-registration for Pisa is exceeding all our expectations. With three months still to go, EGC 2018 appears to be growing as big, if not bigger than the already record-breaking congresses in Oberhof, Germany, last year and St. Petersburg, Russia, the year before. Thank you for your support in making this happen!
A few statistics:
The biggest share of participants is from Germany with over 170 registered players, followed by Japan and France with just over 100 people each. Fourth is China with 95 players currently registered, followed by Italy at 71 players. This might not seem like a lot until you consider that 71 people is 51% of all active Italian Go players. What our community lacks in numbers, we make up in enthusiasm and hard work! All in all, we are counting registrations from 44 countries so far. Keep it up!
